Ok! So this place is a diamond in the rough. Zero street appeal and we were worried when we pulled in to check in. Nothing really catches your eye from the sign out front to the no frills front desk area but the rooms shocked us. Very up to date and to be honest my wife and I said the same thing. They had a very similar look and feel as Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Very clean and spacious and if I have a complaint the shower was just a little small for a bigger guy like me. The sunset is amazing right from the back of the resort and the pool is large and inviting. Don't expect much for breakfast. Really just a refrigerator with Greek yogurt, some Jimmy Dean sandwiches that you microwave, small assortment of cereal and muffins. Coffee, tea and juice. Parking is very tight and limited. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Definately worth the value

This place doesnt even deserve one * star. NOT ADA certified they lied. I Didnt even get a shower due to NO shower chair. I couldnt even access the bathroom in my wheelchair. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. I DONT COMPLAIN. I JUST WILL NOT COME BACK. EVER! . Nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. Their good reviews were obviously bought. I am pretty easy to please and this place is a dump. l am very sad and today is my birthday. July 19th 2026.

I want to start by saying this is not a resort. It's a very low-end motel, and there is absolutely no justification for the excessive resort fees they charge. While some of the rooms have been updated, the property itself is poorly maintained. There was water leaking in the hallways, the room appeared dirty, the bed sheets were not clean, and the pool was absolutely disgusting. There are no Pool rules being enforced. Large groups of people brought their own coolers full of alcohol and loud sound systems, blasting reggaeton for hours. They were drinking, dancing, yelling profanities in front of children, and creating a chaotic atmosphere. Not a single staff member on sight to intervene. We even witnessed one guest cooking paella on the pool deck as if it were a campground, while several intoxicated women were eating inside the pool and washing their dogs' paws in the water. It was unsanitary, disgusting, and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, although we prepaid for our room, the hotel required a security deposit, which is standard. However, days after our stay, the deposit had still not been refunded. Since then, they have ignored our phone calls, emails, and online messages. On the rare occasion someone answers the phone, they disconnect the call as soon as we begin asking about the deposit. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Between the poor cleanliness, the lack of management, the unsafe and unsanitary environment, and the unresolved deposit issue, I cannot recommend this property to anyone. Stay somewhere else.

????? The rooms were clean, spacious, and by far the best part of our stay. The waterfront views were beautiful, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, several advertised amenities did not live up to expectations. Breakfast consisted mainly of cereal, prepackaged muffins, Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, and yogurt that was out of date. The resort also advertised a bar and karaoke, but the bar was only open for a short time. While there, the bartender was occupied with a personal phone conversation that included profanity, and when we returned after dinner around 8 PM, the bar was already closed. The pool also closed at 8 PM, which seemed unusually early for a resort property. Overall, the rooms and location were great, but the amenities and guest experience fell short of what was advertised.

Stayed here for 3 days and it was beautiful. The room was very clean and the location is quiet and hidden away. It’s super close to Sombrero Beach, where my dog had a blast. Banana Bay is a fantastic little resort in Marathon. Ivis is AMAZING and made the experience that much better. Always had a smile on her face, was super quick with requests, and helped us feel at home. I would be happy to come back again!!

I honestly dont like to give bad reviews but this hotel was a huge disappointment. I really researched this place through their IG page, and Expedia page and the way they promote this resort is NOTHING compared to how it looks on social media. First and foremost we stayed for 1 night with me and my family and it was OVERLY priced. We booked this resort with the expectation of the bar being inside, the pool, tennis court and the "free breakfast". The resort itself was dirty. Tennis court was dirty. And the bar was closed. The breakfast was the most disappointing as it was PACKED SANDWICHES from the gas station across the street. Sunday morning we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. However, there's a bar close by that was actually walking distance and was open till 4AM which we had a good time. But other than that this place does not look like anything at all from their social media, website, or Expedia.

A nice place to stay but getting them on the phone can be difficult sometimes. Our room was nice, the facility was quiet and we would definitely stay again. The biggest improvement I would recommend would be better grounds keeping (mowing, debris, weeds etc). PS The pool and hot tub were nice!

Saw some bad reviews of this place in the lead up to my stay so was definitely worried about having made a mistake, but Banana Bay was a great place to stay. It was clean, the rooms are a great size and comfortable, and there is a great marina area at the back and the location is great - walking distance of some great bars and places to eat. Also, the staff were really pleasant and helpful. A couple of things to note in regards to other reviews - yes, the breakfast isn't amazing, but it's fine if you need to pick up something quickly to get you going. I prefer heading out somewhere to eat anyway so wasn't a problem, but don't expect a full on buffet. And we were charged resort fees despite already paying them in the initial booking via booking.com, so that is something to be aware of to check, but this was quickly resolved. The place itself is great and would definitely revisit and recommend it to others.

We spent 40 minutes listing to ai when we booked. It said beach,bar, entertainment and clean rooms. We got to Banana Bay and the front desk told us the restaurant was a couple years gone and ai had not cought up yet. Asked about the beach she didn't know about that either. Wife not happy. We got the the room and it smelled very moldy. We went out to the truck and came back to see a couple roaches in the bed and left. The web, ai and the front desk are all untruthful. when we went to leave we had to wait behind another unhappy person. I would not recommend this place..

Good value hotel, we arrived on a Sunday for an overnight stop. Rooms great, staff very helpful and pleasant, and Carmen was excellent in her Service at Breakfast on our early departure. The only downside I can think of was the beachside bar hours were very limited.
