The Casablanca Hotel offers a charming, historic stay in the heart of Key West, just steps from Duval Street's vibrant nightlife and dining scene. Guests consistently praise its convenient location, friendly staff, and unique atmosphere, with many highlighting the comfortable rooms and delightful breakfast offerings. However, noise levels and certain logistical challenges can detract from the overall experience.

The location was perfect. We were in walking distance to everything yet south enough to not hear the nightlife Duval offers. The restaurant was very convenient and tasty. Our room had two very comfy queen size beds. The ac worked great and the ceiling fan was a nice addition. Coffee, water, fruit and pastries were served daily in the office which made the mornings on the porch quite comfortable. The bathroom is large but it gets wet easily. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend.

The hotel is in a great location if you want to be in the middle of Duval (which we did). However, I did not see from the other reviews or websites that the hotel was in the middle of an Irish bar and restaurant that doesn't close until 2am. The rooms open to the outside, and our bathroom window was right in the middle of the bar patio - we could hear everyone's conversations like they were in the bathroom with us. The bottles being dumped outside of the room at all hours of the night prevented much sleep until past 2am, and then the morning crew was loudly coming in at 6am to clean everything up. It's never a good sign when the hotel has to provide earplugs to the guests. I would definitely not describe the hotel as romantic or relaxing. I should have sprung for a nicer more expensive hotel in retrospect. But, it was clean and pest free, and the daily maid service was good. The toilet had to have a sign on it to instruct you how to flush it so it didn't malfunction, and the bathroom was a "wet room" style with no curb around the shower to contain the water. The pillows were the worst I've ever experienced, so if you stay here plan to bring your own. The offered breakfast in the morning was fine, but after one day of it we made sure to grab coffee and breakfast sandwiches from out. The women working at the hotel was nice. The rooms have no smoking signs on them, but there was an ash tray on the patio of my room which I did not appreciate. Also, during the 30 minutes I did sit on the patio, someone I believe to be a restaurant worker came out (not from a hotel room) and stood next to me and started smoking not 5 feet away. So, I guess the employee break area is right next to the room and they can watch whoever is sitting on the patio through the huge openings in the slats. It had me chased off my patio and back into the room, as I didn't appreciate someone taking their smoke break right next to me. Recommendations to the hotel: At minimum, please invest in new pillows for the rooms, and provide a white noise machine to each room (they're like $20 on Amazon). Ideally, the rooms need better insulation as well as sound dampening windows and heavy window treatments, not thin blinds and papery curtains that are there now.

Great spot if you want to be right in the mix of everything. Being right next to a restaurant was awesome (for us). If you're wanting something a bit more private, some of these rooms are less private than others. Breakfast was provided and the host at the front was very nice.

I enjoyed my recent one-night stay at your hotel before my flight home I found the property to be incredibly unique, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. Additionally, the staff was very helpful, and the location proved to be perfect for my travel needs. I will certainly be recommending your hotel to others visiting the area. Thank you for the great experience

Great location, lovely staff. Room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. I was a little sad we couldn’t use the pool much, but only because the weather was colder than we expected and it wasn’t swimming weather for much of our vacation. The restaurant downstairs is good too! I thought it would be louder at night, but it’s perfect. It’s nice to hear the local musicians in the afternoon. We would definitely be back next time we’re in Key West!

The bar/restaurant noise is so loud!! We barely slept, restaurant and bar open til 2 am. Restaurant staff return around 7am slamming doors and being loud. To get to our room had to walk through restaurant(carrying luggage upon arrival and leaving).

Darling little hotel in the smack of downtown. Wonderful staff. Very clean rooms. Noisy at night as expected given Duval Street & popular restaurant below, but staff provides earplugs!

This hotel has excellent service with clean well maintained rooms. I enjoyed the stay there very much. Be aware their neighbors have extreme anxiety with the parking situation there. They will confront you and call the "Parking Department" on you immediately (yes Key West has a specific city department dedicated to parking). So be aware. Oh ya it's $60/day to park there unless you research alternative parking off site.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and full of character, with lovely vintage touches that fit the island vibe. Even though you’re in the heart of it all, the atmosphere inside feels peaceful and relaxing. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. It’s the perfect spot for anyone wanting to enjoy Key West’s nightlife, dining, and shopping without needing a car.
