Very disappointed with my stay at Courtyard by Marriott despite being a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member. * No upgrade available * Unable to access the mobile key even though it is supposed to be a standard benefit. The front desk told us “we’ll send you a message once it’s fixed” — we never received any message or follow-up. * No lounge access because there is no lounge. * No real breakfast benefit for Platinum members: we still had to pay for breakfast, with no lounge available to compensate. * The “welcome gift” is basically a $10 coupon, which barely covers a couple of drinks considering the hotel prices. Absolutely no real recognition of elite status. * Poor professionalism from the staff: at the breakfast/bar area, one employee kept her earbuds in while we were speaking to her. * Staff members in the hallways do not even greet guests. * Soundproofing is terrible: we were woken up in the morning by people loudly singing in nearby rooms/hallways. Honestly, one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Marriott property. The whole point of staying loyal to a hotel chain and earning Platinum status is to receive a certain level of service and recognition. Here, none of the Platinum benefits felt meaningful or valuable. Far below the standards I expect from Marriott.
So impressed with this hotel! It's gorgeous, well kept, clean, and amazing customer service from everyone especially Mitch and the others at the front counter. The pool is lovely and surprisingly large and Jeff the bartender was very kind and friendly. I love the gorgeous landscaping and the scenery. Best place ever!

Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and we were treated to a lovely view that made the initial arrival quite pleasant. ?However, the physical layout and administrative hurdles made for a very frustrating experience. ?Accessibility Issues: It is important to note that this property does not have an elevator. My wife struggles with bad knees, and navigating the stairs was a significant and painful challenge for her. If you have mobility issues, this is likely not the place for you. ?Reservation Disconnect: The biggest headache came when we tried to extend our stay by one day. I spoke with the front desk clerk, who confirmed they had space available. However, when I was forwarded to customer service to finalize it, they insisted there was no availability. I ended up having to book a completely different hotel for the final night. ?It felt like a classic case of the right hand not knowing what the left was doing—whether they outsource their reservations or just have a major internal communication gap, it’s a hassle for the guest. While the room itself was nice, the lack of coordination and accessibility means I’ll be looking at different hotel chains for my next trip.
The front desk staff and bartender Jeff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby and fitness room were very nice. The rooms were out of date. The sink was way too small for two people and their toiletries. While Ubers come quickly and are relatively inexpensive, the location is not ideal for visiting Old Town Key West. I do not think the rooms were worth $500 a night.
We recently stayed for 6 nights. The front desk staff were friendly and awesome with helping us. We booked fairly close to our stay so we knew going in that we would need to change our rooms twice. Staff was accommodating in making sure our party was kept together. We forgot to move our winter coats from one of the rooms and they went missing. We were disappointed that they were not found but we take full responsibility for leaving them there. Returning to NJ without them was ? with the winter storm Fern coming. My party enjoyed the bar and the drinks were great, but I do not drink. I was disappointed there was no NA beer or mocktail menu. Happy to say that most places in Key West noticed us non drinkers and had amazing offerings. Overall we had a great stay.
First off this place is beautiful, clean and gives resort vibes. We were able to check in a little early and start our adventure. The staff was amazing explaining parking how to locate our room and offered us bottle water. When we returned from being downtown, we met the greatest front desk attendant who unfortunately I don't recall his name, he made recommendations for us on where to eat and ideas on what we could do. They have concierge services on site if needed as well. The tiki bar and pool area are absolutely beautiful and grounds are well kept. I wish we could stay longer, thanks for a wonderful trip!!!!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Courtyard Marriott Key West! From the moment we arrived, Mary Ann at the front desk set the tone with truly exceptional hospitality — warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She made us feel so well taken care of. The management team went above and beyond when they found out it was my husband’s 40th birthday. We were so touched to return to our room to find a thoughtful note and a surprise waiting for him — such a special and memorable gesture that we’ll never forget. Overall, this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is comfortable, well-run, and in a super convenient location. We highly recommend this Courtyard Marriott and will absolutely stay here again when we’re back in Key West!

I am a Marriott Gold Elite member and made my reservation for Courtyard by Marriott Key West directly through the official Marriott website. The reservation number was 72649237, which I later canceled. The cancellation was processed under confirmation number 42649237. The booking terms clearly stated that if the reservation was canceled more than 7 days prior to the arrival date, there would be no penalty and a full refund. I canceled the reservation more than three months before the scheduled arrival date, well within the refund policy. However, even though it has now been over a week since my cancellation, the prepaid deposit of $318 has not been refunded. I kindly request that the hotel promptly process the refund as per the agreed-upon cancellation policy.
Hotel greeters were so friendly and every time my sister and I came in we got a hello with big smiles. Room and bathroom was clean, with everything you would need. Cleaning service was available for your convenience. The bistro for breakfast was so comfortable with many choices. The staff Rosie, Stephanie and Cynthia at the bistro were so friendly. The Tiki Bar by the pool was a plus for drinks and lunch. Jeff and Kenny made sure we always had a cold drink. While your looking around it's like being in a tropical garden. Can't wait to visit again.
