Beautiful place. Very quiet setting. Nice for couples that don’t want a party scene every night or honeymooning. Pool is kind of small but perfect for laying out, lounging, reading a book and taking a dip. They have a happy hour from 3-5, everything for the kitchen is self service. They offer breakfast but more a grab and go station; bagels, fruit, yogurts. Staff is very friendly. Also is walking distance from duval st and other restaurants.

Great location 1 street off Duval- still relatively loud with golf carters, motorcyclers, etc. We stayed in one of the tiny rooms that faces the busy street. If you get room 1-7, note that your stay might be louder than others here. Luckily we didnt hear the roosters in the morning but Ella's provides ear plugs. Updates from prior posts: In our May 2026 trip the breakfast has switched to a buffet style from the baskets pictured. It had yogurt, waffles, bagels, cheese/meats, and fruit. Parking is not free- I saw at least one review mention that. $30 a night with in/out privileges as its just tucked behind the cottages. Cute deck area, small pool but standard for many Key West cottages/bnb's. Smoke free facility; yet I still saw a Sexagenarian having a cigarette and Corona at 8:30 am in front of her cottage that I had to walk by. So they dont enforce that for better or worse (worse for me as I hate the smell of smoke). Front desk staff are amazing! Note it's staffed 7a-6p/

We had such a great experience staying at Ella’s Cottages! The property was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, close to amazing restaurants, shopping, and everything you’d want to do in Key West, all within walking distance. A huge plus is that they offer onsite parking, which is rare and super convenient in Key West. It made our trip so much easier and stress-free. We truly had a wonderful time here, and I would definitely book again on my next trip. Highly recommend!

We had a really nice stay at Ella’s Cottages in Key West. The location is excellent—super easy to get anywhere by Uber, and still tucked away enough to feel relaxed. We stayed on the backside of the property, which was very quiet and made for a peaceful experience overall. The 24-hour coffee and water station was a great touch and something we used daily. Our room was comfortable and we genuinely enjoyed it, but one small issue was the ceiling fan LED light—it wouldn’t fully turn off at night, which was a bit noticeable when trying to sleep. We did have a minor issue on our last day with a neighboring guest’s dog barking, but the front desk handled it quickly and professionally, which we appreciated. Big shoutout to Dwight—he was especially friendly and helpful during our stay and made a great impression. Overall, a great spot in Key West and we’d definitely consider staying here again

Excellent place to stay in Key West! They have their own parking lot! Ella’s is downtown Key West…somewhat easy to walk to sites in Key West. Service with booking, check-in, check-out, were great! Room was clean. They allow dogs! The breakfast basket in the morning was a nice touch—good food! The courtyard is a nice place to relax and get away from the busyness of Key West.

Wonderful place to stay. Staff was so kind. It is an older place, but the updates and upkeep are great. Rooms were very clean, bed and pillows were SO comfy. Location was wonderful, within walking distance of almost every activity we did. Will definitely recommend and definitely come back!

I'm torn on this hotel. The reviews and the Google photos are at odds with each other, which is why I was determined to take and post a truthful review with unbiased content and photos. We came to Key West after a 4-day music cruise. Our room at Ella's is slightly larger than a balcony room on a ship. We're really not picky travelers and prefer to leave positive reviews only, but decided to leave this honest review after puzzling over the mix of positive and negative reviews for the hotel. On the positive side, our room is very clean and it's only a block from Duval Street. The amenities of the hotel are nice - a small pool (the size of a hot tub in many hotels), free breakfast, free parking, nice lobby, etc. The bed is comfortable and the towels seem nice, there is a small fridge and nice TV, plus free wifi. The front desk staff was super nice and welcoming. On the negative side, our room smells like mice, it's very small, there's not enough room to open both our suitcases, no suitcase racks, there's no place to open and store my toiletries bag and no couch. I poured over review photos and photos on the website and I didn't really understand we were signing up for such tight quarters. Because of this, I'm sharing this honest review to help you understand what you're in for and make the decision that is best for you and your trip.

Our room is absolutely filthy after getting out of the shower and walking on the floor is my feet turned black. The floors are not being cleaned and it was very gross. The breakfast basket is the same every day. Some variety would be nice one day our basket had a cockroach running around in it, which was repulsive. The shower left much to be desired including hot water. Your place looks cute, but it seems to end there. I would not recommend Ella’s cottages based on my experience there.

Such a beautiful cottage gem. If I could, I would live here forever. The grounds are plush with greenery everywhere. The pool is quite relaxing with soft music in the background. Even encountered an Iguana! The room was tastefully decorated, comfortable bed & nice bathroom. Breakfast was delivered to the room each morning nestled in a lovely basket. All the staff is wonderful here. Dwight, at front desk, is top notch. This place is very lucky to have him!

Friendly staff and good location near Duval Street. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Nice pool although a little small. Room was clean and spacious with small outdoor patio. Very pet friendly. Hotel has its own happy hour and continental breakfast delivery to each room. Would love to stay here again sometime in the future.
