Located in a relaxed environment with clean, if somewhat outdated, rooms, the resort offers easy access to diving and the southern keys. However, guests report significant noise issues from the adjacent tiki bar, mismanagement of dive bookings, and outdated infrastructure including faulty locks and plumbing.

My wife snorkeled and I dove off the Looe Key boat captained by Captain Jack. My dive master/leader was Rob and he was excellent to dive with! I felt safe, and he showed us some interesting water life! My wife had a great time, as usual, on the boat and snorkeling in the water. We always look to Looe Key Resort Dive boat, when we want to get out to the reef! We've done this many times and always have had a most pleasant experience!

This was our first time staying at Looe Key Reef Resort and we really enjoyed it. Everyone we spoke to was genuinely friendly, the place was clean, and the whole property had a super relaxed vibe. After a long day of traveling, it was exactly what we needed to unwind. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the Keys.

Great spot in a laid back environment. Staff is friendly and the Tiki Bar is a very cool local hangout with great drinks and food. The dive boat operation is awesome with the best Captains and guides to take you on an enjoyable trip to the reef for snorkeling or diving!

This place is scammy to say the least! I made a reservation for my trip 3 weeks in advance on Wednesday Feb 21st. My reservation was confirmed. I was charged for my stay. 5 days later I received an email saying the hotel cancelled my stay. Reason: overbooking. 5 days later they realized they overbooked?! I do not recommend this resort to anyone!

We have stayed in the past the rooms are clean a little out dated but clean. Staff is nice. Our only complaint which would of givin a 5 star. Was we were missing our favorite bartender Keith. He was actually the reason we wanted to stay there. He is a great bartender and makes the looe key resort complete . We hope next time we come back Keith will also be back

Loved the location. Centrally located and only a short drive to Key West. Housekeeping is as requested. The first time I requested, they failed to show, so I had to request it again the following morning. Staff was very friendly. Also, the restaurant band live music is fairly loud and play until around 11pm. If you're sensitive to music, this place is not for you.

Absolutely awful that it’s right next to a massive tiki bar that has live music five nights a week. Our room is SO loud and the music is supposed to go until 11:00. It sounds like the same people own the tiki bar that own the hotel. Hotel where people sleep right next to blaring music. Brilliant. We booked here to get an early nights sleep before our boat tour to dry tortugas in the morning. Big mistake. We had zero notice of this issue before booking or even at checkin. The room itself is in pretty bad shape but it’s passable if the music wasn’t so loud. Awful.

This place is perfectly located near all the southern keys. Great service, the people who work there are friendly and accommodating. They have alot of local attractions that you can book right there in their office and leave to go on right out their back door literally they have a boat and an awesome captain named Kate. The prices are great too! This is now my families go to spot anytime we want to take a trip down the Keys from Vero Beach where we live ?

I usually never leave bad reviews, but i cant let this one go. I booked a room for 4 for one night and a 2 tank dive the next morning for 2. We got to the hotel around 4 pm (we had driven from fort myers earlier that day roughly a 4 1/2 hr drive) and out plan was to get down there, sleep, dive, and drive back. When we checked in the young guy at the front desk was super helpful and nice and gave us the keys to room 1, however the keys didn't open the door and wouldn't even go into the lock. He switched us to room 2 then. We got our stuff inside and walked over to the timi bar and grill, inly to be told that they dont have a grill anymore (we only booked with them because everything was right there.) So we got ready and went somewhere else for dinner. While we were sitting down at dinner we received a call from our dive master for the next day (5:45 pm) telling is that the morning dive may not go out DUE TO WEATHER which we completely understand, and she offered to move us onto the afternoon dive. We said that we would rather do the morning dive if they ended up doing put and she said she would let us know. Less than an hour later we received a call from the hotel front desk telling is they were cancelling the morning dive BECAUSE THERE WERENT ENOUGH PEOPLE (totally different reason than we were told earlier) we asked about the afternoon dive and were told that we were the only people signed up that morning and no one had booked that evening. I think that if they knew that they didn't have enough people they should have gave us a warning a few days in advance so we could make other plans when down there, but since it was so late when we heard no where else had availability. (We booked over a month early so they had time to inform us.) When we got back to the hotel the front desk was closed and our toilet wouldn’t refill with water ao we had to use the small trashcan that was in the bathroom to refill it to flush. The room was really aged, and the beds were super uncomfortable as well, it feels like we wasted 2 full days of our week long vacation and spent 9 hours in the car for nothing. The only good thing about this place was the young guy at the front desk, he was really apologetic and sincere about the whole situation.

I’ll start with our room. The room wasn’t exactly gross but it certainly was not clean. I found the prior guests dirty washcloth still hung up over the shower rod. There were dirty drips on the walls. Sketchy is the best descriptor I can give here. Tiki bar - we ordered an appetizer, then went elsewhere for dinner. It’s a very simple fried bar menu, not a restaurant menu. The 1 redeeming feature was the snorkel. We all had a really good time.
