The rooms were nice and the amenities were fine, but I felt it was expensive and we were nickled and dimed at every turn. Who charges $20 a day for “self parking” when you are basically in the middle of nowhere? The poolside entertainment was annoyingly loud to the point that we had to retreat indoors or off the property every time he played. The resort had a very corporate “Marriott” feel and the staff were clearly coached to have a sunny outlook and fake smile pasted on at all times. We won’t be back.

How can you sincerely give a review to a place that is just so absolutely incredible that it sounds like a fake review? Playa Largo resort is laid out so beautifully that it calms the spirit and lets you take in the absolute stunning beauty of the Keys. Add in an incredible staff, fantastic food and a relaxed vibe without pretense and you’ve got the perfect stay.

This is a great resort to enjoy the stay at Cayo Largo. Fancy hotel. All the people who work here were so nice. At the front desk, at breakfast and on the beach and pool. The food is good. In restaurants could be better. The drinks at the bar are great. The experience for sunset is awesome and it’s worth to come and see it. The only thing we didn’t like in the bedrooms, every time someone in other rooms flush de toilet somehow it activated a sound in our room. Besides this.. everything was 100% perfection.

Checked in Friday. They put us in a wing set up for a wedding on Saturday. Saturday night the DJ began playing music that vibrated the room. Do better! Paying top price to relax. I will be calling corporate. Hotel only had 100 guests and has 350 rooms. Really?!? Otherwise beautiful property and location, rooms a little dated, spa was cold but service great.

10/10! Amazing. We stayed the week of Christmas and it was hands down the best vacation property we’ve ever been to. This place is so well laid out and clean from top to bottom. The staff was beyond exceptional. From valet, front desk, room services, our vow renewal coordinators, the restaurant staff and pool staff went above and beyond. And The grounds keepers work to keep this place immaculate to wake up to every morning. We cannot wait to come back next year! Thank you for the most memorable vacation.

We arrived after midnight and instead of a ghost town, there was Nick with a luggage cart and a bright smile waiting for us. He was so pleasant, just what we needed after a very long day. The room was beautiful and the view was amazing. In the morning, Elana, the manager, greeted us so warmly and gave us a tour of the place. She was wonderful, so accommodating, so patient, answering questions and offering any help where she could. She enabled us to have a flawless stay and a wonderful experience. She introduced us to Paul in the dining room who greeted us pleasantly and gave us excellent service every morning. Also, the omelets made by Fritz were fresh and delicious. The pool was lovely and so was our server, Sam, who made sure we had all that we needed while basking in the sun. All on all it was a wonderful stay, an enchanting experience that I will treasure always.

We love visiting and staying at Playa Largo! Nina (Banquet Manager) deserves to be recognized as an outstanding employee with stellar customer service. During our 5 day stay over Thanksgiving, we saw Nina every day with a smile on her face helping guests and picking up used pool/beach towels to keep a clean resort environment. Even when faced with the challenge of a difficult guest who was smoking, Nina handled herself with great poise and professionalism. Another employee we want to recognize is Paul at the main breakfast restaurant who went above & beyond for our daughter at the restaurant. We love our time at Playa Largo and always enjoy seeing Manual, Javier & Tomas – 3 excellent bartenders who always remember our names and ensure we are taken care of from kids meals to fun adults drinks!

BEST STAY EVER. From start to finish. We stayed for five nights, checking in Monday and leaving Saturday. From the start our experience was magnificent. Tavoris checked us in and ensured everything we needed throughout our stay was met. Always greeted us with a smile and laugh. We dined at every restaurant starting off with Sol by the Sea on my birthday night. Omiel, the same server who served us when we stayed last time and became engaged, took care of us making the night so special. Jean from the Sand bar also made our stay unforgettable. His drinks are top notch but his personality is invaluable. The property is beautiful and every detail thought of. From s’mores by the fire to pineapple mojitos upon check in. I hope my next stay is our wedding and the next review revolves around my five star wedding at such an amazing property. If you want to have the most amazing experience in the Florida Keys, stay at Playa.

We loved the whole resort. The pool was great, great proximity to the beach, and a terrific location. Service was extraordinary, especially Jean at the sandbar. Nice to feel known, remembered, and important. My wife and I was celebrating my birthday in our anniversary. Tremendous experience. One of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at. My favorite in Florida by far!

We, 4 ladies, purchased the resort pass for the day. We had an amazing time. Had chairs on the beach and rented the big "float" for the day and to watch the sunset. Food and drinks were great, as well! We love the fact that dogs were allowed on the property and to swim in the ocean.
