Margaritaville Beach House Key West consistently receives positive feedback for its beautiful grounds, convenient shuttle service, and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight issues with inconsistent service, dated rooms, and high pricing for the provided amenities, particularly regarding included beach services and kitchen facilities.

Margaritaville Key West is amazing. My husband and I had a wonderful time from the moment we checked in. Everyone is so nice and ready to help. Check in was smooth, concierge booked us a golf cart and dolphin/sunset boat ride within minutes. Bar staff and drinks were great. Pool was relaxing. Our room was spotless, plenty of thick towels, bed was comfy and there was lots of drawers and closet space. The grounds were beautiful too. During our stay, the resort would text us about events and room service. I can't say anything bad about this place.

I stayed here once when it was the Sheridan and loved it. The manager at the time was amazing after a third party messed up our reservation. I also like the location, it's right across from smarhers beach. My stay this time was about different. Even the process of making a reservation- the woman on the phone who I called multiple times didn't really explain or answer the questions I had about packages/!discounts etc. The positives of this hotel are the shuttle drivers and waiters/ bartenders. They were fabulous and friendly as well as the house keepers being helpful. The hotel staff was not. We had previously been "upgraded" to a better room free of charge and received an email about this. When we walked up after travel which is always stressful, we asked for a beach or pool side view (nothing available, okay, understandable. I didn't call agead ) and then at a minimum ,we asked balcony( we were there for 6; nights). They weren't able to provide this but also seemed somewhat confused ( about balcony availablilty.) and said they'd upgrade us to a larger room. I didn't ask ahead of time for a special room bc my bf booked, however (and I'll say it here maybe my expectation is a bit high) but at the rate of how much you pay to stay here, maybe they should contact you after making the reservation and ask if you prefer a specific room view etc. (Doesn't appear you can choose from their online booking) The front staff didn't explain the shuttle process or "greet us w a free drink" as their email said you get upon arrival or remind us of the free amenities throughout the day or breakfast package that we got. Unwelcoming, I'd say. *The gentleman at the front desk who checked us out and went over our questions at the end, was helpful and informative I hope this helps someone. I'm sure the front staff are busy and overwhelmed and as a business owner, I don't blame them.

Stay away! Booked a family suite for 4. We had to call the front desk multiple times to get bedding for the pull out couch! On top of that they didn't even bring the correct bedding! They knew in advance we had a family of 4 coming and didn't have enough towels for 4 people or the extra bedding in the room already. This is a basic expectation! Spent an hour at their restaurant getting food thinking it was convenient for the first night. It was gross and overpriced. Front desk staff was fine but honestly I expect better! They seemed disinterested at best! I could have stayed at a much cheaper hotel and gotten better service. This is the first and last time I'll be staying at a margaritaville resort. Spend your money elsewhere.

Great hotel in Key West. Conveniently located just minutes from the airport. The beach is right across the street from resort. Chairs and umbrellas are not included, but are available for rent. Appetizers and snacks at the resort were good. Loved their two bedroom suites. Shuttle was convenient for visiting down town.

We have stayed at Margaritaville in Orlando a few times and love it. Tried Key West. Price a little on the high side. Okay, no problem. The floor the put us on was 3. One section there must be some renovations or a leak and the carpet was soaked and wet and STINKY. the section in front of our room had not carpet but stinky padding. Okay, No problem. We dropped our stuff and head down town. Come back late to find out there the AC was a Portable Window venting unit. Honestly! That was NOT a good night sleep.

The rooms were clean and well appointed. The only criticism was the flashing (non stop) green light from the smoke detector above my bed. The service at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The service at the upper bar outside was a little slow (was not busy) and not an overly welcoming. The service in the outside dining room was excellent. The food was outstanding. The location was ideal. Across the road from the beach and a quick bus ride to the downtown.

I cant understand why there would be any bad reviews of this place. Its a little pricey(lets be honest though, its key west and what isnt) The hotel staff is super nice and accomadating. We had to leave our previous rental at 10 am and couldnt check into our room until 3pm. I called the hotel and they said they would hold on to our bags and text us when the room was ready. I arrived to the hotel at 11 am and was given a room immediately. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and well set up. Every staff member was kind and eager to assist. The pool was great and relaxing. The restaurant was fantastic, good food and cold fairly priced drinks. The shuttle downtown and to the airport are super conveinient. All in all, we had a great stay and would highly recommend to others!

We enjoyed our stay at Margaritaville. The two bedroom suite was very nice with fun decorations. The pool is nice but small. A few times while we were out by the pool they passed out smoothies and popsicles, and that was a nice touch. All the furniture outside and in the lobby could use a refresh. The staff out the upstairs pool bar were extremely nice. I liked it that they didn't have the music blasting. The shuttle bus was also a great service. Would definitely stay here again.

The police needs an updating. We stated very nice places and we weren’t expecting a five star hotel but it needs a little bit of an updating. The pool is small and the pictures are somewhat misleading of the hotel in general. The staff was OK. Nothing spectacular all in all. It was just an OK experience. Be prepared for the $60 a day hotel fee. Restaurant was ok, limited menu. Shuttle was convenient to get into town, although one of the drivers was absolutely miserable and not helpful at all. One of the drivers was basically a tour guide fantastic. We wouldn’t return. We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the beach. $20 fee for chairs and umbrella.

We had a pleasant stay overall, largely thanks to the incredible staff. From check-in to throughout our visit, the service was genuinely outstanding — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Being allowed into our room early was a huge bonus and very much appreciated. The rooms were spacious, but they were definitely dated, and the TV system was confusing and not very user-friendly. While the space itself was comfortable, the room condition did not fully align with the price point. Food and drinks were a mixed experience. The drinks were excellent and well made, but the food was average overall. Breakfast, in particular, felt expensive for what was offered. While the hotel is overpriced for the value provided, the amazing staff truly stood out and made a lasting positive impression. Their level of service is what sets this property apart, even though updates to the rooms and dining experience would go a long way!
