Margaritaville Beach House features a prime beachfront location with spacious suites and complimentary shuttles, though it has received mixed feedback regarding dated room conditions and higher-than-average fees. The property offers a relaxed atmosphere with a strong focus on service, gunning for a lively Key West vibe.
Great hotel in Key West. Conveniently located just minutes from the airport. The beach is right across the street from resort. Chairs and umbrellas are not included, but are available for rent. Appetizers and snacks at the resort were good. Loved their two bedroom suites. Shuttle was convenient for visiting down town.
The rooms were clean and well appointed. The only criticism was the flashing (non stop) green light from the smoke detector above my bed. The service at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The service at the upper bar outside was a little slow (was not busy) and not an overly welcoming. The service in the outside dining room was excellent. The food was outstanding. The location was ideal. Across the road from the beach and a quick bus ride to the downtown.
I cant understand why there would be any bad reviews of this place. Its a little pricey(lets be honest though, its key west and what isnt) The hotel staff is super nice and accomadating. We had to leave our previous rental at 10 am and couldnt check into our room until 3pm. I called the hotel and they said they would hold on to our bags and text us when the room was ready. I arrived to the hotel at 11 am and was given a room immediately. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and well set up. Every staff member was kind and eager to assist. The pool was great and relaxing. The restaurant was fantastic, good food and cold fairly priced drinks. The shuttle downtown and to the airport are super conveinient. All in all, we had a great stay and would highly recommend to others!
We enjoyed our stay at Margaritaville. The two bedroom suite was very nice with fun decorations. The pool is nice but small. A few times while we were out by the pool they passed out smoothies and popsicles, and that was a nice touch. All the furniture outside and in the lobby could use a refresh. The staff out the upstairs pool bar were extremely nice. I liked it that they didn't have the music blasting. The shuttle bus was also a great service. Would definitely stay here again.
The police needs an updating. We stated very nice places and we weren’t expecting a five star hotel but it needs a little bit of an updating. The pool is small and the pictures are somewhat misleading of the hotel in general. The staff was OK. Nothing spectacular all in all. It was just an OK experience. Be prepared for the $60 a day hotel fee. Restaurant was ok, limited menu. Shuttle was convenient to get into town, although one of the drivers was absolutely miserable and not helpful at all. One of the drivers was basically a tour guide fantastic. We wouldn’t return. We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the beach. $20 fee for chairs and umbrella.
We had a pleasant stay overall, largely thanks to the incredible staff. From check-in to throughout our visit, the service was genuinely outstanding — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Being allowed into our room early was a huge bonus and very much appreciated. The rooms were spacious, but they were definitely dated, and the TV system was confusing and not very user-friendly. While the space itself was comfortable, the room condition did not fully align with the price point. Food and drinks were a mixed experience. The drinks were excellent and well made, but the food was average overall. Breakfast, in particular, felt expensive for what was offered. While the hotel is overpriced for the value provided, the amazing staff truly stood out and made a lasting positive impression. Their level of service is what sets this property apart, even though updates to the rooms and dining experience would go a long way!
We had an amazing stay at this resort in Key West Florida! They provide free shuttle to and from the airport as well as downtown to all the excitement Key West has to offer. The room was very clean and maintained daily with endless coffee supplies just outside our room! What a great place for a chill, laid back vacation. Every member of the staff we encountered was awesome! I have to shout out though to Kevin the Concierge and John one of the shuttle drivers. Kevin gave us great advice on things to do and places to go. John tells great stories, gives great tips and seem genuinely interested in your plans for the day. I would give this place 10 stars if I could -we will be back!!!
This was my first trip to Key West. The room, pool, and on-site restaurant were all pleasant and well maintained. While I did have to walk around much of the building—or go up and down several floors—to reach my room, the room itself was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. Having access to a six-foot-deep pool was also a nice feature. My primary concern was the overall cost structure. Very few amenities were included, and many aspects of the stay seemed designed to encourage additional spending. There was a significant incidental hold at check-in (approximately $100 per night), frequent prompts from staff to charge purchases to the room, and an additional $60 per night resort fee. The beach across the street also offered no included amenities—no chair vouchers or complimentary services. While I understand Key West is a tourist destination, the lack of included amenities made the experience less enjoyable. The location was another drawback. Although the shuttle service was convenient and the drivers were friendly and helpful with recommendations, the property is about a 10-minute drive from Duval Street, and the last shuttle run was earlier than ideal. I would have preferred a more centrally located property within walking distance of the main attractions. Overall, I feel neutral about the stay. I didn’t dislike it, but I also didn’t find it particularly memorable. Whether it was worth the cost is debatable, and at this time, I would likely explore other lodging options in the area before returning.
Great hotel with nice pool, hot tub and bar. Free parking and shuttle service to airport and down town. Friendly service Beidy at the bar was great and our shuttle driver Luann does a great job and good local recommendation's . Food and drink prices on the high side but most everything was good .they had coffee stations on the floors but the ice machine had a frozen bag of ice that you had to chip to get ice cubes. We enjoyed our ocean view room ,clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. I’m glad we were on the second floor, third would have been better , if were on floor one you would have zero view. We joined the perks club before we booked and got $50 resort credit and a voucher for store snacks. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we return to key west.
Since I arrived, the person who greeted me at the from desk was super rude. She did not want to try to explain better the rewards that I was entitled to for having booked my stay at this hotel. I was not received well by the reception staff. I also had to claim the welcome drinks that I am entitled to according to the reservation, but I have to pay for them because they are not free and they charge me $25 whether I used them or not from my account. At the pool bar, the male bartender, in appearance and dress, was super rude because he did not understand that I was extending the card that was given to me at the from desk that gave me the right to the 2 welcome drinks, and he still did not want to understand what I was showing him. It has been a disappointment, my only day, and I will never return to this hotel. In addition, I will recommend everyone not to come here. Our money has to be spent where we are treated with RESPECT.
