The Hyatt Centric Key West Resort and Spa consistently receives positive feedback for its prime location, beautiful views, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the comfortable accommodations, convenient access to Key West attractions, and on-site amenities like a pool and dining options. However, some reviews highlight concerns regarding room cleanliness and costs, particularly parking fees and potential inconsistencies in service.
Hyatt accommodated us wonderfully with a beautiful third-floor room overlooking the beach. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the unit had everything we needed—including soap, dishwashing detergent, a washer and dryer, and laundry detergent. The outdoor patio was huge and offered a gorgeous view, making it the perfect place to relax. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!
Excellent location and staff. Disappointed at the lack of rate transparency. Paid a premium for room, then upgrade fee, and then expensive resort fees. At check in, they stated a $20 credit good for a food or drink discount at the property and I used it for breakfast. After checkout, I never received the credit and I inquired about it. Ei Khaing Mon, Assistant Front Office Manager responded it was only good for dinner (not other meals). I was ok with all the overall cost & fees but was disappointed about not receiving the $20 credit they offered. I asked them to re-review this $20.00 credit based on all I spent, my Hyatt gold status, and miscommunication - but never received a response. I would have hoped a leading hospitality company would not have a $20 miscommunication ruin an overall good guest experience.
Our stay at the Hyatt was short but enjoyable overall. As a World of Hyatt member, I stay at Hyatt properties frequently, and I’m still trying to understand why this hotel is classified as a Category 8. My assumption is that it’s primarily due to the location—it’s within walking distance of Duval Street and many of Key West’s main attractions, with some great views available. Unfortunately, our room overlooked the dumpsters, which was disappointing. Aside from that, the room itself was comfortable, the pool bar was good, and while the pool was on the smaller side, it was still a nice place to relax. We also appreciated the $20 happy hour voucher provided for the hotel restaurant. My only real complaint was that the hotel was power washing the pool walkway in the middle of the day. The noise was quite loud and made it difficult to enjoy the pool area during that time. Overall, though, we had a pleasant stay.
I recently stayed at this resort and really enjoyed the prime location right on the water. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a nice view that made it easy to feel like I was truly on vacation. It was great having the pool and dining options right there, which made it easy to stay on property when I just wanted to relax. The staff was professional and made sure the check-in and checkout process went smoothly, which I really appreciated. It is a fantastic spot if you want to be right in the middle of everything while still having a comfortable place to retreat to.
We’ve stayed at this Hyatt three times, and it continues to be such a special place for us—we actually got engaged here back in 2012. Every visit brings back great memories, and the experience is always consistent. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful and one of our favorite parts of the stay. We’ve also done both the snorkeling trip and sunset cruise through Floridays on the property, and highly recommend both. The property is well-maintained, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is always welcoming. Already looking forward to our next stay!
Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa is the perfect holiday spot if you’re looking to relax and soak in the island vibe. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The turtles and the macaw on the property were a huge hit with the kids and added a fun, unique touch to the experience. The rooms are bright and airy, and sitting on the balcony while hearing the ocean breeze is simply wonderful. The location is another big plus, it’s within easy walking distance to Mallory Square, making it perfect for catching the famous sunset, and there are plenty of great places to eat nearby. We also enjoyed the food and service at Four Flamingos, which was excellent and a great option right at the resort. Overall, a fantastic place to stay in Key West for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
Rooms are incredibly expensive for what they are. On the plus side, they're large and roomy. On the negative side, they're old and run down. Bathroom fixtures were rusty, tile is coming off, etc. Service was generally friendly, though not super fast. We were initially assigned a room along the parking lot which was loud and not good. Front desk moved us to a much nicer room which was appreciated. Kudos there (though getting a nice room to start would have been better). Location was excellent. Pretty much unbeatable. And the pool and Jacuzzi are quite nice. In summary, go for the location and the people, if not the rooms.
We got married here in November. When we started looking for a location, I immediately had a connection with Kelsey the wedding director. She and her team are the absolute best! They were so accommodating with everything! We can’t say enough good things about them. The resort is in the best location to all things Key West! Definitely choose an ocean view room you will not be disappointed. The sunsets from our balcony were breathtaking!
We rented bicycles and road around Key West we were able to enjoy the pier, the beach chairs, and the close proximity to all of the restaurants, bars, excursions, and fun. they also have jet skis, golf carts to rent so you have everything there you need. On our checkout, they call us a taxi to go back to the airport. It was seamless. Thank you very much. Have a great time. See you next year!
Great place to stay. My husband and I did a spur of the moment trip to Key West without even booking a room. When we arrived, Shantell (Zimbabwe,) was the young lady who checked us in. We explained to her that we were on a spontaneous trip, had packed for the mountains, but ended up in Key West with zero reservations. We asked for a room with a balcony and a view of the water-- and she delivered!! She definitely made sure we had what we were looking for, because we walked into our room to be surprised with TWO balconies-- one overlooking the water and one overlooking the business area. After she checked us in, she gave us each a complimentary Pina colada and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay! Our room was huge-- and beautiful! Very modern, bright and clean. Our room was alao equipped with a Nespresso Machine, fridge, couch and large screen smart tv-- and since my husband prefers coffee over Espresso, housekeeping hooked us up with a Keurig also. They do have options to rent golf carts, bikes and scooters here. We rented a golf cart and had zero problems or issues. Highly recommend staying here! And shout out to Shantell for making sure we had the best room there!
