The Weatherstation Inn offers an exceptional location in the quiet Truman Annex with a very short walk to Duval Street and Mallory Square, though it features older decor and a limited continental breakfast. Guests frequently praise the friendly staff, particularly General Manager Jennifer, for personalized service and hospitality.
From the moment we arrived we felt at home. We discovered that the Weaterststion is situated within the Truman Annex ehich us gatrd snd locked ag night. Jen greeted us with wonderful recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The room was spacious and the balcony was so perfect to watch the the pink clouds float by. Parking was on-site and free. Continental breakfast included coffee, croissants, and fruit.
Great location inside the Truman Annex, with only a 5 minute walk to restaurants, bars and shops. Excellent continental breakfast and free bottled water and coffee 24/7. Property manager Jen was awesome and even lent us 2 beach chairs. Bed was very comfortable and property was very well maintained inside and out. Wouldn't stay anywhere else for future visits.
This is a very cool building to visit. Great location to everywhere and beautiful setting. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are big, older so you won't have any of the newest amenities. Definitely worth the visit....
Weatherstation Inn was all that I hoped it would be for the last leg of our vacation in the Keys. Communication was extraordinary. They began texting 24 hours prior to arrival with instructions. I provided our ETA and they had our room ready 3 hours early. We were greeted, then given a map along with recommendations. It was a 5 minute walk to Duval through their lovely gated community. I would give 6 stars if I could.
We are frequent visitors to Key West and stayed at the Weatherstation Inn recently for the very first time for four nights. I cannot speak more highly of Jen and the whole staff, they were fantastic. The location of the Inn is absolutely perfect, in the beautiful, quiet Truman Annex, yet it's within just a few minutes' walk of the restaurants, bars and music of Key West. Our room was well-appointed and lovely, and now that we've found it, I can't imagine us staying anywhere but here next time we're in town.
Perfect location about 2 blocks from all the fun. It was great to have a light breakfast until you found the restaurant you wanted to hit up for brunch. Rooms were clean and cozy. Even had slippers! Our shower was massive and water was hot right away.
Lovely little hotel right in the heart of Truman Annex. Room was nicely equipped, though the bed was quite tall. Lovely host during daytime hours. Breakfast was basic, but all you need to grab a quick bite before heading out for the day. The only hassle was our evening check in required us to first stop at the sister property to get keys, then drag our suitcases on the 15 minute walk. It would be nice if the larger property would drive you in a golf cart. Again, that was the only misstep of our stay. Parking was excellent and just steps from the hotel in a private designated lot. The location was ideal and everything was walkable.
We were looking for quiet and comfortable in a great location for our first trip to Key West and man, did we hit a home run. We opted for the deluxe king and were certainly not disappointed. Large spacious room, wonderful veranda, and plenty of tropical surroundings. Breakfast every morning included a selection of locally made croissants we fell in love with. The location within the Truman Annex provided a quiet environment but with easy access to everything the city had to offer. And Jen, part manager, part tour guide, part friend you love catching up with, even if it was our first time meeting her. We loved our stay.
This was supposed to be an awesome vacation for my wife's retirement. We booked in advance and saw that it was a hotel no where did it say it was a empty hotel. It's more like a landmark location inside the Truman Annex, with a few rooms to let. We arrived at 4:05 pm to find the place locked with instructions to walk to the Opal House only to find out it was the Opal Resort which was a walk away once you drive into this gated community. Not what you expect after a long drive, a scavenger hunt. This place has someone on site in the morning for a while with a very limited Continental breakfast. It's not like a typical hotel and the rooms are like a bedroom rental from a Airbnb. I prefer Bed and Breakfast houses when there is someone around to communicate, this isn't that. We enjoyed our stay because we had already booked it and the pool was tiny and filthy, not like the broucher. I wouldn't come again but to each their own.
We love staying at The Weatherstation Inn, great location in the Truman Annex and ~5 minute walk to Mallory Square to see the sunset. Majority of the good restaurants are within 20 minute walk max, and it is ~10 minute walk to Duval street. Jennifer (GM) is incredibly receptive and fun to talk with, she has brightened our experience each time we visit. Breakfast each morning is enough to get you started before enjoying something while you are out and about. We would never stay anywhere else when visiting Key West
