????? this hotel was honestly a really pleasant surprise. from the moment we checked in, the staff made us feel welcome. everyone we interacted with was friendly, patient, and genuinely seemed happy to help, which made the stay feel much more relaxing. the rooms were beautiful—modern, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. the beds were cozy, the bathrooms were well maintained, and everything felt fresh and taken care of. housekeeping also did a great job keeping everything clean throughout our stay. the hotel itself was lovely. the lobby was inviting, the grounds were well landscaped, and there were plenty of comfortable places to sit and unwind. it had a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day. The amenities were well maintained, and everything from the common areas to the outdoor spaces felt clean and organized. my only complaint is one that future guests should know about: if possible, avoid staying on the first floor. There were a lot of mosquitoes outside our room, and every time we opened the door, it felt like they were waiting for us. It definitely made sitting outside or going in and out a little frustrating. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience. Great service, beautiful rooms, a relaxing atmosphere, and staff who genuinely care about their guests. I'd happily stay here again—I'd just request a room on one of the upper floors next time!

I recently stayed at the Capitana Opal Collection in Key West, Florida, and overall, I had an amazing experience. The location is absolutely perfect—close to attractions, restaurants, and shops, with many places within walking or biking distance. If you don’t feel like walking, Ubers arrive in less than two minutes, making it incredibly convenient to get around the island. The hotel itself is beautiful, and nearly every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Unfortunately, one interaction at the hotel bar left a lasting negative impression. On our third day, we visited the bar as we had done every day during our stay. This was the first time we encountered a bartender who did not introduce herself like the others had. She was a Caucasian woman with blonde hair, wore a cap, and had a noticeable mole on her face. From the moment we approached the bar, she greeted us with a rude, “What’s up?” instead of a warm welcome. She never offered us menus—another guest at the bar noticed this and kindly handed us menus while even making recommendations because they could see how we were being treated. She insisted we complete a form with our names and room number, claiming it was mandatory for everyone. This was surprising because we had visited the same bar multiple times during our stay and had never been asked to do this. We explained that we did not want our purchase charged to our room and preferred to pay immediately with our credit card, just as we had on previous visits. Despite that, she insisted we fill out the form. What stood out most was the difference in how she treated us compared to other guests. She was cheerful, smiling, and engaging with others, but every time she interacted with us, her demeanor immediately changed. She appeared annoyed by our presence and was unnecessarily rude throughout the interaction. Interestingly, the only other guest she asked to complete the same form was the guest who had kindly given us a menu. After we handed her our card, she took an unusually long time to process the payment. We eventually paid, left the bar, and didn’t think much more about it. The following morning, during checkout, I requested an itemized receipt and shared our experience with the manager, who sincerely apologized. Unfortunately, after arriving at the airport and reviewing my transactions more carefully, I discovered that our credit card had been charged for our food and drinks, and an additional $55 had also been charged to our room. I immediately contacted the hotel, and they investigated the matter and refunded the $55 charge, which I appreciated. However, it was still upsetting to have to discover and resolve an incorrect charge after leaving the property. Despite this experience, I truly enjoyed my stay. The Capitana is a beautiful property in an excellent location, and the vast majority of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. I hope management continues to address situations like this so that every guest receives the same level of hospitality and doesn’t have to worry about inaccurate charges. I also encourage future guests to review their final bill carefully before leaving the hotel.

This was a beautiful hotel with modern decor. The rooms were well decorated and had very comfortable beds and all the toiletry items you'd need. There was a nice little kitchen nook area with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and tons of storage. There were no kitchen supplies: plates, glasses, etc. The staff were very nice and helpful. We got champagne at arrival, and they booked our golf cart rental for us. The food was delicious in both the cafe and at the pool bar. The pool was spacious with lots of seating around the deck and 2 stairway entries. Beach area left a lot to be desired. It was very small and littered with leaves mixed in the sand. Also, not a beach in the traditional sense, as there is a retaining wall, and you probably wouldn't want to get in the water. My only complaint was that my husband got a romance package with roses and champagne; housekeeping left the rose petals scattered all over the floor for our entire stay. Also, we were supposed to get turndown service in the evenings and never did. They did credit our resort fees for missing this detail. Overall, it was a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt, this was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, we experienced exceptional hospitality and outstanding service. We were checked in early, received a complimentary room upgrade, and were welcomed with refreshing cold drinks. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. Honestly, I have never experienced this level of service anywhere else in the United States. The property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and absolutely stunning. The pool area was fantastic, with plenty of fresh towels available at all times, and the poolside service was exceptional. The cool water was especially refreshing on warm days. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to make guests feel comfortable and cared for. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. This is truly the best resort we have ever stayed at, and we cannot wait to return.

Hotel was awesome. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms with a nice view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and bar are great! Hotel is in a great location. Proposed to my fiancé here on the private beach - the hotel allowed a setup on the beach, and front desk even gave us free champagne after and lent us a vase for flowers!

We had the best experience at The Capitana! The communication before and check in process was great. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The pool and beachy area were great, and the Tiki Bar service was excellent. Loved having the coffee and breakfast on site. Would highly recommend!

I had never heard of this hotel chain before and was pleasantly surprised when myself and friends arrived for our three day weekend getaway. This place is absolutely beautiful and very clean. We shared a room with two queen beds, a small, wraparound couch, kitchenette, and large bathroom. It was perfect for the 3 of us. We had a balcony view of the pool and Tiki bar. Our mornings were spent on the balcony, drinking coffee and watching the world go by. It was perfect. The Staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The food at the tiki bar was amazing and the drinks were poured by a very friendly bartender named Cassie. The wait staff at the pool were very attentive and in the heat of the day came around with free, frozen grapes and popsicles. There’s even a Sandy beach on the property with cabanas I highly recommend this hotel and I’m looking forward to returning next year!!

If you value cleanliness, kind hospitality, friendly staff and good amenities, you will not be disappointed here. After staying at some overpriced fancy hotels in the area which did not deliver on their promises, this one ticks all the boxes. The rooms are very spacious, we even had a small kitchen, a sofa, and a table. Most rooms overlook the lovely pool. The staff is smiling and friendly. Parking was included in the 35usd resort fee. Unlimited bottles of water available in the mini pantries on the floor. Small coffee shop inside the hotel. Nice pool, great views of the bay. Everything very clean and new. No complaints.

Location-wise, everything you need is about a 10-minute drive, and it’s about a 40-minute walk to Duval Street if you’re up for it. The hotel provides coolers stocked with bottled water and ice, which was SUPER convenient. The pool area is beautiful, and there’s even a small beach right on the property. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily, which made the stay feel extra comfortable. The room was spacious with a gorgeous view. One of the best parts was how easy it was to communicate with staff- you can text them anytime with questions and they respond quickly. They also have self-service laundry machines, which is super convenient for longer stays. The front desk even helped us book a last minute golf cart. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed 4 nights in Room 222. Large and amazing view. Breakfast cafe great every morning. Large heated pool fantastic. Location perfect for us away from Duval but 10 min Uber ride only when we headed out. We would stay again IF we ever came back to Key West. PS. Water temp and pressure in bathroom sink needs addressing otherwise great stay.
