Our absolute favorite place to stay in Key West! We always get a “welcome home” when we walk through the door! Phil is the sweetest and makes sure every detail is taken care of for us at the pool/bar. Kate and Peggy are here to welcome us in the evenings with a hug. The grounds are impeccable and the service is top notch. ??

It’s rare to come home from a week long vacation stay and say I. Would. Not. Change. A. Thing. The Gardens exceeded all of our expectations. We reserved Poolside Cottages 1 and 2, which, when connected, ended up being a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite that has a shared common area with a sitting area and kitchenette, plus two outside porch areas. It was perfect for two couples. Those two units share a smaller second pool onsite with only 2-3 other units in our own little gated “community.” Very private pool and living experience. The grounds, the service, the employees, the breakfast, the location, just everything….was perfection. Thanks to the owner and all the staff. We will be back!

Great hotel in the heart of Key West. We stayed in the historic main house, Room 2, which was perfect for us. We had a balcony with direct room access. The location is a block from Duval Street and is quiet. The hotel provides live music between 5-7pm daily. The breakfast is delicious and should not be missed. Easy walk to just about everything. They have parking spaces which is plus in KW.

We loved to whole vibe and location of the hotel. It’s so beautiful. Rooms could be updated a little. The staff was absolutely lovely! Especially the lady who served us breakfast and tended the bar on Monday and Tuesday!

Wow! We had an amazing stay at The Gardens Hotel. It's a beautiful and intimate hotel. Once you step inside the gates, you would never know you are only a block away from Duval. It was nice to be close to everything but able to escape into the beautiful gardens and the serene atmosphere of the hotel. We loved the turtles (one laid eggs while we were there), the birds, and the sweet cat, Lucy! The staff was warm and welcoming. The heated pool with the holiday themed floats was a great place to chill. Having breakfast included was a great start to the day. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was well-appointed (even had a magnifying make-up mirror). It was a really quiet stay. We were not disturbed by any noise during the four nights. I think the price for the hotel was a great value since breakfast was included and we were able to walk everywhere so no need for a car or Uber. We had such a great stay that we're already talking about making the pre-Christmas trip to Key West a tradition and will definitely stay at The Gardens any time we visit KW. Thank you for such an awesome stay!

Pros: The gardens truly are spectacular! Absolutely beautiful courtyard and pool area, this alone made the stay a great experience. The gentleman who check us in was very kind! Cons: The bed was very hard and very squeaky. The room was cold with no extra blankets. I actually had a terrible night of sleep. The next morning I was hoping to get breakfast before our sailboat set off. Unfortunately, they don’t do breakfast before 8:30. For the price we paid and the fact that we upgraded our room for the breakfast on our anniversary. It was extremely disappointing to have to set off with just coffee. A few other guests were mentioning the same thing, that 8:30 is late. It’s just too expensive a hotel to not be a little more accommodating with their breakfast hours even if it’s just cook to order from 7:30-8:30. All in all, it was a beautiful place, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

One of the top hotels I've ever stayed in! The rooms are great and the bed is super comfortable - I'm very picky. The Gardens and the Pool are beautiful, you feel like you're on a secluded island! Service is top notch, love that the breakfast is included and such a lovely setting in the courtyard. And everything you want to see and do in Key West is just a block away! I would 100% return, can't wait to come back

Our second time staying at The Gardens Hotel, and it never disappoints. We stayed in Cottage #4 on the second floor and it has all of the feeling of home with the charm of Key West. Having our own kitchen and essentially our own pool were the highlights. Although don't discount the breakfast, which every morning was something to wake up and look forward to. Whether it was Annette or Jorge taking care of us, it was always excellent, and of course having a afternoon cocktail with Dr Philgood was a great way to relax poolside. Special note to Lucy and the Tortoises for some great wildlife viewing while strolling the property with a glass of wine. We will definitely be returning, but not soon enough. Highly recommended for couples to enjoy a serene and safe environment with all of the comforts of home.

I never leave reviews but this B&B was so wonderfully welcoming & it was great relaxing on our porch chairs. It’s a real garden zen oasis in the heart of Key West. All the staff were extremely accommodating & we also got to chat with Kate the owner. Delicious rotating breakfast choices! We definitely will stay here again.
