Pines & Palms Resort receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its well-maintained grounds, beautiful oceanfront location, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the convenient amenities like pools, kayaks, and on-site food options. However, some recent feedback has raised concerns about inconsistent service, particularly regarding laundry facilities and responsiveness to issues.
I have now stayed at Pines and Palms twice this year. I have absolutely loved it. Both times I have visited our bartender was JJ , and both times she has been amazing! I will say one common problem that I have with this resort is the lack of mirrors. I have now stayed in two different rooms/suites and there is not enough mirrors. In the different rooms there has always been a mirror in the bathroom, but besides that you are lucky to get another mirror and you are extra lucky to get a full length mirror. Besides the mirrors, Pines and Palms has been great both times I visited. The staff is so helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again, but I will bring a travel mirror next time!
We had a great time with our family . Pine and Palms feels so warm and relaxing. The resort's staff were friendly and the resort is clean and well maintained. The bars pina colada's weren't bad either. We enjoyed the pool and able to kick back and enjoy the views from the beach.
If you are looking for a mega-resort with endless crowds and high-end luxury, Pines and Palms probably isn’t your vibe. But if you want a quiet, beautifully maintained, and genuinely laid-back "Old Florida" getaway, this boutique resort is a massive win. We stayed here recently and absolutely loved the easygoing energy of the entire property. The resort is just 45 miles from downtown Key West and only 30–40 minutes from the Seven Mile Bridge. • Excellent Layout & Cleanliness: The units are spotless, updated, and thoughtfully decorated. Having a functional kitchen/kitchenette is incredibly convenient for making morning coffee and breakfast before heading out. • Great Amenities: The oceanfront heated pool and tiki bar area are fantastic for unwinding. They offer complimentary kayaks and bicycles, which are a great perk for exploring or just getting out on the water. Walking out to the end of the private dock for sunrise or sunset is a must. • The Food Truck: There is a great little Paris-themed coffee and food truck right on-side that serves delicious morning bites and drinks. • Service: The staff here are incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and make you feel right at home.
Arrived to glass of Prosecco, beautiful large oceanfront suite, nice covered patio. Great music by pool in afternoon. Coffee in room, plus great coffee trailer on site. High rated food truck on site. Best room cleaning service I have ever seen. Bought several things at the onsite boutique. Grounds well maintained. Honestly, I don’t think any thing could have been done better. Wanted to book again for next year, but calendar says fully booked, so, maybe another year.
Objectively this is a beautiful and clean resort and we had a good stay up until our last two days. SO, the first day we checked in the office the staff told us to come to them for recommendations. We stayed long enough to need to do our laundry. We went to the office and asked for a laundromat recommendation. THEY told us to use their coin laundry which cost $4. Long story short neither machine worked properly which left us with wet dirty clothes which we tried to dry in our room overnight. The next day everything was still dirty and wet so we scrambled to find a laundromat before check out. We spent half of our last day and our full last day till noon at checkout trying to get our laundry done before our flight the following day. We told the staff what happened and they said there was nothing they could do. Although they kept apologizing they did nothing at all for us, they didn’t even offer to refund my freaking quarters from the broken laundry machine, let alone some form of compensation for basically screwing our last two days of our stay. A couple other less than ideal things, the bartender at the pool will give you a double when you didn’t ask for it and try to charge you for it. Next, they quietly offer a military discount on their website but won’t honor it if you ask for it after the fact (they say it’s due to third party booking???) they should still be able to offer a mil discount they advertise, feels hollow. Like I said, good resort but if ANYTHING goes wrong they won’t help you out. We’d love to bring our whole family back for years to come but at this point we’re not too sure. I am more than happy to remove this review if you guys do something major to compensate us for those last two night, and while it may seem small, the $4 for the broken laundry, and the literal scam going on at the pool bar.
Beautiful property and incredibly clean! We stayed in Bungalow #7, which had a stunning view of both the ocean and the pool. The Highlights: * The Room: The bed and bedding were very comfy, and the bathroom was huge. * Kitchenette: Super convenient! It had a microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, and a Keurig (with pods/creamer). Note: The fridge has a very small freezer. * Amenities: The grounds are well-kept. Kayaks and paddleboards are available and seemed very popular with other guests. Good to Know: * The Bar: The pool bar only serves beer and wine-based drinks (no liquor). * Ice/Towels: No self-service ice machines; you have to ask the bartender. Room only comes with two beach towels a day. * Parking: It’s first-come, first-serve. Depending on your room, you might have to lug your bags a good distance. Some luggage carts or a bell-hop service would be a great addition! Minor Downsides: Our neighbors in #6 smoked on our shared porch, which made it hard to sit outside. Also, the single chair at the end of the pier was broken—the resort should definitely put some nice, functional seating out there! Overall, Pines and Palms is a clean beautiful and relaxing destination. We would definitely return!
I have traveled to Islamorada for years staying in ABNB but on occasion I am only there a few days so I try a resort. I loved Pines and Palms! It is in the perfect location to all of my favorite restaurants and shops. The rooms were comfortable and our bungalow was not connected to another so it was very quiet. The property is well maintained and the view is awesome. The best part of our stay was the front desk rep, Anna. My daughter and I had a bad flight and they lost our luggage for 3 days. By the time I checked in to P and P I was done. Anna listened to me venting about everything, poured me a glass of champagne and made me smile and laugh when I really needed it. By the time I left her office I felt so much better. What a great addition to the staff. If you stay here please take the time to have a conversation with Anna, it will make your trip!!
DO NOT STAY HERE. My husband and I flew down from Maryland, like we do every year, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. We checked in Saturday morning and even PAID to upgrade our room for an oceanfront view. We prepaid for our entire stay, and everything looked beautiful at first. The first night was fine — but everything went downhill fast. On the second night, we found a huge cockroach/water bug in the kitchen. We called the after-hours line around 10 p.m. and got absolutely no response. No call back, no knock at the door — nothing. We had to shove paper towels into the cabinet cracks ourselves. A few hours later, I pulled back the covers and found another roach IN OUR BED. I screamed and ran outside. Completely unacceptable. When we went to the front desk the next morning, the woman working there actually smirked and said maybe the after-hours staff was asleep. That was their excuse. We immediately checked out a full day early and went back to Miami. We were told the General Manager would call us Tuesday morning. She never did. I called twice and was told to email her instead. Zero accountability. Zero professionalism. This is supposed to be our yearly vacation — we work hard and we expect at least basic cleanliness and respect. Instead, we got bugs in our room, rude service, and no follow-up at all. Save yourself the money and the frustration. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE.
This is the absolute paradise! An amazing resort with a very beautiful atmosphere directly at the beach. The amenities were great and the bungalows were super well equipped, clean and just beautiful. This place is highly recommended and it made our trip to Florida Unforgettable! You can rent sups, kayaks etc or grab a cocktail at the beautiful swimming pool. Highly recommended and I would definitely return!
Wow, the renovation is outstanding. We always loved Pines and Palms, always clean, great staff and location but it was showing its age. The renovation really brought the units forward I time. MUCH bigger bathrooms and gorgeous pool area upgrade. Byers book early, the room we wanted for next season was already booked so we had to shift our dates a little.
