Key Largo Cottages is charming and perfectly captures the essence of Florida's Keys. Fantastic service and location. Had a great relaxed vibe and the staff was helpful with the kayak equipment and local recommendations. Another guest described it as sailors summer camp. Not everyone there could sail thou. While you can never guarantee wildlife sightings we saw manatees from the dock multiple day and dolphins while kayaking the bay. Rooms were clean, but not the most modern. Wifi was good. Loved the random decor choices.

Always a great time here. No where else in the Keys can you get a cute cottage on the bay with water toys, fishing gear and even a free 22 foot sailboat to use during your stay. Unless you looking for the ensuite massage Im not sure why you would stay anywhere else.

This review is for Pelican Key Largo Cottages. There seem to be reviews for a Sailing Club mixed in here. Confusing. It appears I got this confused too and I am trying to move this review to the Pelican Key Largo Cottages. My apologies to the owners of the Key Largo Cottages. The room was tiny, no larger than a king sized bed. There was no window, as the a/c unit took up any light the window might have let in. The room was so small there was no room to open our suitcase. Strangely there was not a single picture or poster on any of the walls - made it look more like a jail cell. The bedspread did not look safe - not sure when that was last washed. A great disappointment, when we had prepaid $159.00 for an economy room. We checked out an hour after checking in. Of course there was no refund on a prepaid room, but losing the money was better than staying there. There are few cottages that have an ocean view. The photo of the beach is misleading, as it is not open and pristine except for a few feet. There are also 3 boat ramps and there is engine fuel in the water. The main photo does NOT look like the actual property. There is some major trick photography going on. It looks like something out of the 70s with no updates since then. There is no public place that has a/c so on a hot day, as this was, there is no place to go to get cooled down.
