Recent guests praise the luxurious Key West location, attentive hospitality, and quality amenities, though some report that room maintenance issues persist despite recent renovations.
My parents and I just returned from a fantastic weekend at Casa Marina and it was such a special trip. The location is wonderful and made it easy to explore Key West, and we also loved spending time at the beach and around the property. We had several great interactions with the team during our stay. Natalia in the coffee shop was cheerful and efficient each morning, and Cassie the concierge shared helpful suggestions that made getting around town very easy. Down on the beach, Christian and Lizbeth were attentive and always happy to assist. Lea at the beach restaurant was warm and lovely throughout our meals. Ronald at the front desk truly stood out and made a real effort to ensure everything about our stay went smoothly. We also had two excellent bartenders during the trip, Gabe and another gentleman from Moldova in the lobby bar who was wonderful to chat with. It was a relaxing and memorable weekend with my parents and we are already looking forward to coming back.
We had a fantastic weekend stay at Casa Marina and genuinely wished we could have stayed longer. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly welcome and well looked after. Ronald at the front desk was an absolute star and went above and beyond to ensure everything about our stay was seamless. His attention to detail and willingness to help made a real impression and set the tone for the rest of the visit. Christian and Lizbeth on the beach were wonderfully attentive and always nearby when we needed anything. Lea, our server at the beach restaurant, was warm, engaging, and made dinner feel easy and relaxed. Each morning Natalia in the coffee shop greeted us with such cheerful efficiency that it quickly became part of our daily routine. Cassie at the concierge desk provided excellent recommendations and thoughtful advice that helped us make the most of our time in Key West. I also had the chance to meet Thom, the General Manager, who was incredibly affable and took the time to speak with us. He made us feel truly welcome, which says a great deal about the culture of the hotel. I feel terrible that I cannot remember the name of our lobby bartender. He was from Moldova and was such a pleasure to chat with in the evenings. We also really enjoyed Gabe behind the bar, who was excellent. Our room was beautifully maintained, and every housekeeper we passed in the hall greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello. The food was superb everywhere we dined, and the location made it easy to wander into town and explore Key West. I travelled with my girlfriend and her parents, and it proved to be the perfect setting for a relaxed family getaway. We are already looking forward to returning. Thank you to the entire Casa Marina team for such a memorable escape!
We had a wonderful weekend stay at Casa Marina. The service was top notch across the board. Christian and Lizbeth by the beach were very helpful and attentive. Our server in the beach restaurant Lea was so warm and friendly. Natalia in the coffee shop was bright and efficient each morning. We received great help and advice from Cassie the concierge. I feel terrible we’ve forgotten our lobby bartender’s name, but he was from Moldova and lovely to chat too. We also really enjoyed Gabe the bartender. Our room was well cleaned and every housekeeper we met in the halls greeted us with hello and a smile. The food was fabulous everywhere we ate. The location of the hotel is an easy walk to many places in Key West. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to plan our next visit back. Thank you for a wonderful escape!
If I'm honest, I don't understand the bad reviews about this hotel. We had almost perfect experience. Almost is because of the check in time, BUT the receptionists did everything they could, to make my experience better. Hotel was really full, the room wasn't available for early check in, which is fine, meanwhile we spend a bit time at the pool, but at 4pm, what is regular check in time, the room still wasn't ready. As apology i got a credit to spend in bars/restaurants there, which is great. In general every single employee was really friendly, kind and helpful! The hotel is amazing, the beach does have enough chairs and umbrellas for everyone. Also great, that they have two pools, one adults only and one family pool. Valet parking guys are great and helping with luggage, opening car doors etc! We had a breakfast at Flagler's, we ordered a la carte, but they also offering breakfast buffet. My kids did love they pancakes! And my avocado on sourdough bread was amazing! Also service was amazing! We had a room in a suite wing, everything was perfect, really nice suite, clean and comfortable. We'd definitely come back!
We were greeted by valet/bellhop with a smile. Very helpful. Check in was friendly and painless, with help directing us to our rooms. Rooms were nice and clean, spacious. Bathroom a little small. Enjoyed the balcony and view of the pool and ocean. The grounds were well kept. Only thing it could have had was a freezer and a microwave. We did talk to concierge for our best options getting around Key West. She was not helpful, in fact she was very rude and with snyde remarks. I did make mention of this incident to the service desk and was told they usually are third party, and it was not the first time the service desk has had a complaint from this same women. Regardless of third party or not it looks bad on Hilton and this is why i scored the “service” with a lower score. Very disappointing with her help, we managed to figure things out on our own.
At a 5 star hotel you should not be able to hear the occupants next door, talk, snore, fart , cough, and you should not hear the occupants above you walk across the room but you can at this facility. The room was cleaned everyday and in general the staff was great. However this is not a 5 star facility, it is a 2 star at best. When they did the remodel they did the big stuff but the attention to detail is lacking. Walls and woodwork are chipped paint and dirty. On day one the shower handle came off in my hand, the hairdryer was broken, The frame around the frig was broken, when we called guest services, we got VM instead of a person. At over $500 per day, this is not 5 star performance. This location is exploiting the private beach, the lure of Key West, charging high prices and not delivering the stated value. Last year the Hilton's CEO compensation was over $40m and at this level of performance he should not even have the job. I have over 1.5 million air travel miles and have stayed over 1,000 nights in hotels/motels in 35 countries. This was the most expensive 5 star and worst one I have ever been in. Sorry, but that is my opinion.
My family and I (5 of us, 3 young children) just got back from a stay at the Casa Marina over Christmas and I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay! The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with trees and lights everywhere. The nice gentlemen who checked us in were great-they gave my 2 daughters stuffed animals as we checked in, along with the sheet to find all the elves on the property. We arrived early, before 10a, so our room was not ready but they had no problem storing our luggage for us and letting us use the facility amenities before accessing our rooms. We went to the Family Pool (which, if you are traveling with children, is so nice to not have to worry about if your kids doing cannonballs into the pool are disturbing those on an adult vacation who are looking for some peace and quiet-they would be at the Adult Pool). The wait staff at the pool were friendly and timely with our order. The front desk called when our room was ready (early) and accommodated our request to have adjoining rooms with my in-laws no problem. The activities director, Ayla, was fantastic and had a schedule of fun activities for our older 2 children throughout the days. They showed Christmas movies on a big projector each night on the turfed area of the lawn (also awesome for my son to play soccer on throughout the day). The beach was beautiful, well maintained! The hotel is a close 10. minute walk to lower Duval street. We had an absolutely amazing stay in Key West at the Casa Marina! My kids want to go back every year for Christmas! Thanks for such a memorable trip!
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Marina Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton. We stayed in a suite and the room was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. The beach access was fantastic with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, making it easy to spend full days by the water. The adults-only pool was a highlight; great atmosphere with cocktails flowing and a fun yet relaxing vibe. Food throughout the hotel was very good, breakfast was solid, and everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and welcoming. Overall, it was an easy, relaxing vacation and we would absolutely stay again.
Phenomenally beautiful property!! Private beach, meticulously landscaped, excellent food at on-site restaurant, warm & inviting lobby. I found the entire staff extremely professional, outgoing & always very nice. I’d like to acknowledge staff members who went above and beyond constantly to make our stay so awesome….. Mahen @ Dorada, Victoria in the cafe, Corney our stellar mixologist, Patrick & Timothy at the front desk, our awesome bartender at the Canary lounge from Maldovia (my apologies his name escapes me), Penelope @ Dorada & Vanesa @ Dorada. We arrived desperately needing to decompress & get some sun. This was THE resort to lay back & disconnect!! We were made to feel like family!! We enjoyed live entertainment nightly at Dorada with our dinner & the Canary Lounge was open late offering extreme hospitality. The rooms are a bit older & need updating but they’re CLEAN. Bathrooms have newer fixtures & were well stocked. We had a private beach access room and I highly recommend that accommodation. This resort has a soul & is deeply charmed!! If you’re looking to recharge, this is your spot if visiting Key West!! We stayed a full week and enjoyed every moment……..
My wife and I recently stayed at the Hilton Casa Marina on an award night, and we were genuinely grateful not to be paying the standard rate of $755 for the room. As a Hilton Gold member, I requested an upgrade prior to arrival and was quoted an additional $800 to move from a standard king to a two-bedroom pool view suite. I declined. When we arrived at 10:30 AM, we understood our room was not ready yet, but the front desk associate we spoke with was unnecessarily rude about it. We were directed to leave our bags with the concierge, who were wonderfully kind and trustworthy, and to explore the city until the room became available. At 12:30, I spoke with a different front desk associate, a genuinely helpful gentleman. I explained that I was not sure which room type we had and was even willing to downgrade just so we could change and get ready for our excursion. Not only did he accommodate us, he upgraded us to a balcony room with an ocean view. His professionalism was the highlight of our stay. The elevator, however, is a serious concern. It feels like something from a horror movie, taking nearly four minutes for the doors to close and leaving you hoping you will not get stuck inside. This requires urgent maintenance. Overall, while the location is great, the property is in clear need of significant updates. In its current condition, I would feel comfortable paying around 350 dollars per night, not the 700 to 800 dollars the hotel is charging. With those prices, guests deserve far more than what this property currently provides. Hilton, do better.
